Our Policy on Your Privacy
| A sincere warning (but don’t get paranoid)!
Once you’re on the internet, your privacy goose is cooked. Sure, all the above crowds tell you the exact opposite, but their tales are simply urban myths. Nothing is secret on the internet, nothing is private. Who tells you differently is either stupid, or a crook. Possibly both. One wireless laptop and one cellphone are sufficient for any clever villain to empty my bank account and yours – within minutes. And if the enterprising crook works on for another fifteen minutes, he doesn’t only own our money but also our identities. And that’s just criminals, who generally don’t have access to the hardware, the digital infrastructure and the limitless man-hours that our governments have. There is very little that our “leaders” don’t know about you and me, and there’s even less that Uncle Sam doesn’t know – wherever we live. Human beings are primitive – fond of magical thinking, protective rituals and hexes. One of those is the “privacy statement” that pretty soon all webmasters will be legally obliged to have on their sites. I join these rituals enthusiastically – as an internet marketer I can’t, like, afford to have Google kick my sites off their search engines on account of me not helping them pull the wool over people’s eyes… and neither can “Not the Clan Fergus(s)on Society”. So here is, specifically to pacify Google and all our governments, our privacy statement. Nothing of it is untrue – but neither does it cover any of the real issues. |

Orange bordered on account of my Dutch birth and proudly flying the Saltire in honor of our Scottish roots, I make this website for all Fergussons - regardless of name, spelling or origins. It's dedicated to all Scots and all Scottish descendants around the world, meaning that in fact it's dedicated to ourselves!
